The Jolly is a hidden gem off the beaten path, with four beautiful bedrooms upstairs. With stunning views, vineyards and walks on your doorstep, you can really disconnect and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are also a perfect location for business trips with great access to Brighton, Gatwick, London and the South East.

 

We proudly offer dog-friendly rooms, ensuring your four-legged friends can join you for a relaxing countryside getaway.

 

Only an hour from London by train and less than 30 minutes from Brighton we are one of the most idyllic spots in the Sussex countryside to enjoy dining on delicious local food and wine and explore Sussex’s many attractions including Glyndebourne, Charlston, Plumpton Racecourse, Brighton, Lewes, Seven Sisters, vineyards and the Bluebell Railway. We have ample car parking space off road also.

AMENITIES

 

We offer four beautiful ensuite double bedrooms above the pub. One room is a larger suite which can accommodate two small children on a sofa and zed bed. All our rooms have comfortable super king size beds with Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels & robes, quality mattresses, luxurious en-suite bathrooms with spacious waterfall showers accompanied by sumptuous products, Nespresso machines, organic tea facilities, flat screen TVs with Netflix and Amazon Prime and free Wifi. There is a mini fridge in each room with still & sparkling water, milk & cordial. A walking booklet with a variety of walks in the area can also be found.

BREAKFAST

A delicious breakfast is served in the pub downstairs in our cosy red room by the fire during the winter months, and in our Garden Room or in the garden in the summer months.  

 

Breakfast: 8.30am - 10.00am

We offer a take away breakfast for those who need to get away earlier. (Please see below for information on breakfast during the low season.)

 

FURRY FRIENDS

​

We allow well behaved and quiet dogs into the rooms, pub and garden. A charge is added onto the bill to cover extra cleaning costs. Please be aware of other guests at all times when bringing your dog. We have a ‘doggy box’ in the corridor with towels, shampoo, blanket & bowl. An individual goody bag for the pups is also given if we know about your furry friends coming in advance.

Open 7 days a week for rooms

 

From 1st Oct - 31st March the pub will be closed all day Tuesday and Sunday evening for dinner.

Rooms will still be available to stay in.

 

For those staying on Monday nights during this off peak season, breakfast will be supplied in your room for Tuesday morning the night before. Our sister pub The Sloop Inn is open on Tuesdays to welcome you for lunch or dinner and is only 15 mins drive away.

 

Individual access instructions will be sent to those checking in on Tuesdays. Full cooked breakfast is available on Wednesdays.

Check-in: From 3pm. Early check in or late check out is available on request and may be subject to a charge.

​

Prices start from £130 per night

​

Check-out: 11am. All payments for rooms (UNLESS PRE PAID) and any extras such as dinner/lunches are paid at checkout.

​

Please note the rooms are accessed via an external wooden staircase, located in our garden, so are not recommended for people with mobility issues. There are no ground floor rooms.
